Exodus Chapter 11 Bible Study

The Lord told Moses, “I will put one more punishment on the king of Egypt and his people. After that, he will let you leave; in fact, he will send all of you out of here. Speak to the Israelites to ask their neighbors for gold and silver jewelry.” The Lord made the Egyptians respectful toward the Israelites. The officials and all the people considered Moses a great man. Moses said to the king, “The Lord says, ‘I will go out to Egypt about midnight, and all the firstborn sons will die, from the king’s son who is heir to the throne to the slave woman’s son who grinds grain. The firstborn of the cattle will also die. There will be loud crying throughout Egypt, such as there has never been before or will ever be like it again. But even a dog won’t bark at the Israelites or their animals.

Then you will know that I make a distinction between the Egyptians and Israelites.’” Moses concluded, “All your officials will come and bow down to me and beg me to take away all of my people and go away. After this, I will leave.” Moses left the king in anger. The Lord told Moses, “The king will continue refusing to listen to you in order that I may do more of my miracles in Egypt.” So Moses and Aaron performed all miracles before the king, but the Lord made the king stubborn and he would not let the Israelites leave his country.
