After the ordination rites were finished, Moses called Aaron and his sons and Israel’s leaders. Moses said to Aaron, “Bring an undefective young bull for the sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering. Then tell the people of Israel to take a male goat for a sin offering, a one-year-old calf, and a one-year-old undefective lamb for a burnt offering, and a bull and ram for a fellowship offering. They must sacrifice them to the Lord with the grain offering mixed with oil because the Lord will appear to them today.” They brought everything to the Tent, and gathered to worship the Lord. Moses said, “The Lord has commanded you to do all of this so the light of God’s presence will appear to you.” He said to Aaron, “Go to the altar and offer the sin and burnt offerings to take away yours and the people’s sins.”
Aaron went to the altar and killed the young bull for his own sin offering. His sons brought him the blood, and Aaron put some of it on the projections at the corners of the altar with finger and poured the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. He burned the fat with the kidneys and the liver on the altar, but the meat with its skin outside the camp.
He killed the animal for his own burnt offering. He threw the blood all around the altar and burned the head, all the other animal’s pieces, and washed internal organs with its hind legs on the altar. After that, he took the goat, killed and offered it for the people’s sins, as he had done with the sin offering. He also brought the animal for the burnt offering and offered it according to the regulations. In addition to the burnt offering, he presented the grain offering. He killed the bull and ram as a fellowship offering and has done all things as Moses had commanded.
When Aaron had finished all sacrifices, he raised his hands, blessed the people, and stepped down. Moses and Aaron came out from the Tent and blessed the people, and the shining light dazzled on them. The Lord sent a fire consuming all of the burnt offering and fat parts on the altar. When the people saw it, they shouted and bowed down with their faces to the ground.
