If you are offering grain to the Lord, you shall first grind it into flour with oil and incense on it, and bring it to the Aaronite priests. The priest shall take a handful of flour, oil and incense, and burn it on the altar. If you are offering oven baked, grilled or panned bread, they must be made without yeast, thick loaves of flour or thin cakes both mixed with olive oil. Bring them as an offering to the Lord and present them to the priest who will take them to the altar. The priest shall burn them on the altar. The odor of this food offering is pleasing to the Lord. The rest of the grain or bread offering belongs to the priests.
None of the grain offerings which you present to the Lord shall be made with yeast or honey. An offering of the first grain that you harvest each year shall be brought to the Lord and not burned on the altar. Put salt on any grain offering; salt represents the covenant between you and God. When you bring to the Lord an offering of the first grain harvested, you offer roasted grain or ground meal with olive oil and incense. The priest will burn the parts of the meal, oil and incense as a token and food offering to the Lord.
