“This is what you are to do to Aaron and his sons to dedicate them as priests in My service. Offer the unleavened bread to Me when you sacrifice the bull and two rams without any defects. Aaron and his sons shall have a ritual bath, wear the priestly garments and anoint with olive oil. They and their descendants will serve as priests forever. Kill the bull, pour out some blood at the base of the altar and burn the bull outside of the camp to take away the sins of the priests.
Take one of the rams and burn it on the altar as a food offering. Take the meat of the other ram used for the ordination of Aaron and his sons, and let them eat it with bread. Perform these ordination rites for Aaron and his sons for seven days exactly as I have told you. You must offer a bull as a sacrifice each day so that the sin may be forgiven. This will purify the altar. Then anoint the bull with olive oil to make it holy. Do this everyday for seven days. Then the altar will be completely holy.
Every day for all time to come, sacrifice on the altar two one-year-old lambs, one in the morning and the other in the evening. This burnt offering will be offered at the entrance of the Tent, where I will meet My people and speak to you, and the dazzling light of My presence will make the place holy. I will set Aaron and his sons apart to serve Me as priests. I will live among the people of Israel, and I will be their God. They will know that I am the Lord their God who brought them out of Egypt.”
