“Make a square altar out of acacia wood with projections at the top of their four corners and covered with bronze. Make bronze pans for the greasy ashes, shovels, bowls, hooks, and fire pans. Make carrying poles of acacia wood covered with bronze. Make the altar out of hollow boards. The tent of My presence is enclosured out of fine linen curtains, 50 yards long, on the north and south sides, 25 yards long for the east and west sides and 7 ½ yards long for each side of the entrance supported by bronze posts and bases, with hooks and rods made of silver.
For the entrance itself, there will be a curtain 10 yards long woven with fine linen, blue, purple and red wool decorated with embroidery and supported by bronze posts and bases. Command the people of Israel to bring you the best olive oil for the lamp so it can be lit every evening. Aaron and his sons will set up the lamp in the Tent of my presence in front of the Covenant Box. There in My presence, the lamp is to burn from evening until morning. This command is to be kept forever by the Israelites and their descendants.”
