Exodus Chapter 24 Bible Study

God said to Moses, “Come up to the mountain to Me, you and Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and 70 of the leaders of Israel, and while you are still some distance away, bow down in worship. You alone, not the others, are to come near Me.”

Moses went and told them all the God’s commands and all the people agreed. Moses wrote all the Lord’s commands. Early the next morning, he built an altar at the foot mountain and built an altar and set up twelve stones of Israel according to its tribes. Then he sent young men to burn sacrifices to the Lord and sacrificed some cattles as fellowship offerings. Moses took half of the blood of the animals in bowls and threw the other half against the altar. Moses took the Book of the Covenant in which the Lord’s commands were written, and read it to the people. They said, “We will obey the Lord and do everything that he has commanded.” Moses threw the blood to them and said, “This is the blood that seals the covenant which the Lord made with you when he gave all these commands.”

Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and Israel’s 70 leaders went up to the mountain, and they saw the God of Israel. Beneath His feet was like sapphire pavement as the blue sky. God didn’t harm the men of Israel. They ate and drank together. The Lord told Moses, “Come up the mountain to Me; while you are there, I will give you two stone tablets which contain all of My laws that I have written for the instruction of the people.”

Moses went up to Mount Sinai, and a cloud covered the mountain for six days. On the seventh day, the Lord called out to Moses from the cloud. Moses went up to the mountain into the cloud and stayed for 40 days and nights.
