These were the words that God spoke: 1. I am the Lord your God. Worship no god but Me. 2. Do not use My name for evil purposes.
3. Observe the Sabbath and keep it holy.
4. Respect your father and mother.
5. Do not commit murder.
6. Do not commit adultery.
7. Do not steal.
8. Do not falsely accuse anyone.
9. Do not desire another man’s wife.
10. Do not desire anything that another man owns.”
Now all the people were filled with fear and stood a long way off. Moses went near the dark cloud where God was. The Lord commanded Moses to tell the Israelites, “You saw what I talked with you from heaven. You shall not make gods of gold or silver, but an altar of earth. Sacrifice on it your burnt and fellowship offerings, sheep and cattle. In every place that I set aside for you to worship Me, I will come to you and bless you.”
